Building the list
Add a row per person with their name, month and day. The birth year is optional; with it, the list shows the age each person is turning. To add many at once, open Paste a list and paste one person per line in almost any common format, such as "Ana, 14 March", "Ben 1990-07-02" or "Chloé 25/12". Choose whether numbers mean day-then-month or month-then-day. Your list is saved in this browser only.
Getting it into your calendar
The download is a standard iCalendar (.ics) file with one all-day event per person that repeats every year. In Google Calendar on a computer, open Settings, then Import & export. Apple Calendar and Outlook can open the file directly or import it from their menus. Importing into a new, separate calendar keeps birthdays easy to hide or delete later.
For 29 February birthdays, choose the day to celebrate in other years. The events use the rule "last day of February" or "day 60 of the year", so leap years still land on the 29th.
Questions
Will adding people later update my calendar?
An imported file is a one-off copy. Download a fresh file after changes. Each person keeps the same event ID, which lets calendar apps that support it update events instead of duplicating them.
Are the reminders included?
Yes, if you choose one. Some calendar apps ignore reminders in imported files and apply their own default notifications instead.
Can I print it?
Yes. Print month chart gives a one-page overview by month, ready for a fridge, staff room or club noticeboard.
